Viola vilmoriniana at Sequim Rare Plants

Viola vilmoriniana

light apricot Viola vilmoriniana

Viola vilmoriniana

Other names for this plant are Viola sulphurea or Viola odorata ssp. sulphurea. Since we obtained it from Lamb Nurseries some years back with the name of V. vilmoriniana, we will keep calling it this even if it is not precisely accurate. Up until recently I thought this was completely scentless, although for the first time I did notice a faint fragrance to one of its flowers last spring when it was brought in flower into a greenhouse.
