Streptocarpus 'Anastasiia'

This is a variety of streptocarpus with the Ukrainian spelling and variant of its name. Anastasiia rather than Anastasia.

A mixed collection of ten of these was purchased several months before this photo was taken from The Violet Barn (click here to visit their website), that offers them by mail order.

This grows well as a houseplant. It needs conditions very similar to those that an African violet needs - diffuse light, warmth and care not to over-water. A streptocarpus has larger flowers and larger, longer leaves than does an African violet.
