Pelargonium x domesticum 'El Gato'

Surprisingly, several of the pelargoniums are still flowering in the greenhouse at this late season, two days after Thanksgiving Day, in late November. We don't particularly want them to be flowering now, so the flowers are picked off as soon as they open and are noticed. Small nose-gays of them are gathered for the kitchen windowsill. This variety is called 'El Gato,' meaning “the cat” in Spanish.

This is known by American gardeners as a Martha Washington geranium.
