Narcissus 'Cedric Morris'

A tiny beauty that flowers earlier than other narcissi, sometimes as early as when the calendar turns from December to the first day of the New Year, 'Cedric Morris' is a narcissus that has an interesting story behind it. Apparently it was found by chance on a trip through Spain several decades ago, and shared with Beth Chatto. Click here to go to the webpage that tells more of the story. Although it survives outdoors in sub-freezing weather, it might be best to grow it in a pot so that it can be brought indoors when its flowers open.

At the moment (January 2011) we have only a few plants of it, but hope to build up our stock within a couple of years to be able to offer it by mail.
